Do you test people before you let them in?
I don’t let people in quickly. But when I do, I go all in.
I test the waters first. Let a small, slightly ridiculous thought slip out and watch what happens. If you laugh, really laugh, you might be my people. And then I’m done holding back. I rush in, full speed, ready to play.
This painting is that exact moment. Right before the rush.
She’s there, lingering. Watching. Deciding. Hanging back in the deep blue water, just far enough to feel safe. Close enough to bolt forward the second she makes up her mind.
But look closely, and you can see it. She’s not hiding. She’s just not sure yet.
She’s about to be sure.
If she feels familiar, she’s available. Reply and I’ll tell you more.
