What it feels like to receive a custom pet portrait
I thought it would be fun to share some videos of the first “reveals” of pet portraits as they were given to the recipients.
Each recipient was delighted when I revealed the pet portrait, and I really enjoy rewatching these videos to see the moment of pure awe and happiness on people’s faces. I hear over and over again how realistic their pet looks, whether the portrait was done in standard colors just like the pet, or whether I used my imagination to capture the pet in a more unique and colorful way.
In the cases above, the pet owners commissioned me to create the portraits. But in some cases, the portraits were given as gifts. Here are some comments from the happy gift-givers.

I had the pleasure of commissioning Nicole to create a portrait of our beloved cat, Moose (Artemis), as a gift for my husband after her passing. Nicole requested a handful of good pictures to work from. Knowing that I wanted a fun and unique piece, I suggested the style of an old-fashioned WANTED poster from Western movies. The end result is truly amazing! I was absolutely astonished at how well Nicole captured the details and realism of Moose; the likeness is uncanny.
The patterning and eyes were also replicated with impressive accuracy. I highly recommend Nicole for any art commission. Her talent spans across various styles, but especially shines when it comes to pet portraits. Working with Nicole was a breeze as she asked plenty of clarifying questions to ensure she understood exactly what I was envisioning. She took my idea and brought it to life even better than I could have imagined. Throughout the process, she checked in to make sure she was on the right track, which allowed me to provide feedback and make adjustments. I am absolutely in love with the final result and cannot express enough how grateful I am to have this beautiful piece of art on our wall, serving as a wonderful reminder of our dearly loved kitty, Moose.
