Artwork in San Francisco

It all began in the 7th grade when I drew the Little Mermaid, I was instantly hooked on drawing. From then on I knew I wanted to be an artist.

I was born in Bedford, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, and I live in San Francisco, California. I earned my BFA in Illustration with a minor in Graphic Design from the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Work, Medium and Subject Matter

My primary mediums are watercolors, acrylics and digital or vector art. I typically work in bold, vibrant colors.

My subject matter ranges from animals to fantasy creatures, such as fairies, dragons and mermaids. My illustrations focus on subject matter for children and children’s books. I’ve done artwork for:

  • Advertisements
  • Children’s Books
  • Icons
  • Invitations
  • Logos
  • Magazines
  • Posters
  • Postcards
  • Presentations
  • T-Shirts
  • Web Sites

Abstract Paintings

When I paint with acrylics I really enjoy seeing how the colors mix together, so my abstract work is about me getting lost in the color and texture of the paint. I try create something that has an appealing palette as well as an interesting structure.
