Kiss Fish Art Commission

This piece was commissioned by my sushi chef, Yoichi. He’s a huge fan of the band Kiss. He recently purchased his restaurant, where he was the chef for 11 years and to celebrate asked me to make a painting of fish for him, with a Kiss theme.

I worked on a couple of test pieces before starting on the large watercolor. I was really nervous about doing a watercolor painting this big, 22″ x 30″, it was a first for me! But it turned out to be not-so-bad (not-so-hard).
